Dr Ibrahim T.W. Izzettin MBBS, FRACP Geriatrician and General Physician
Dr Ibrahim T.W. Izzettin MBBS FRACP is a Consultant Physician in Geriatric Medicine (Geriatrician) and will obtain dual specialist fellowship in General and Acute Care Medicine in August 2022 following the completion of his current 6 months training in the Intensive Care Unit at Cabrini Hospital Malvern.
After passing his specialist physician exams in 2018, he underwent dual specialist training at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (2019) and Alfred Health (2020, 2021, 2022). He is also currently involved in active clinical bed side teaching to medical students on a weekly basis.
Ibrahim is passionate about improving the quality of life and wellbeing of all patients. In addition to spoken English, he is also fluent in the Turkish Language and is an active member of the multicultural community in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne.
Furthermore to his role as a General Physician, his keen interests as a Geriatrician include cognitive impairment and behavioural and psychological symptoms of Dementia (BPSD), multimorbidity and polypharmacy, frailty and functional decline, falls and Osteoporosis.
