Dr Mohammed Al-Moktar is a Consultant Nephrologist as well as general physician. He has broad training and experience in Nephrology, with interests including – acute and chronic renal failure, hypertension, urinary tract infection, nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis, connective tissue disease and electrolyte disturbances.

Dr Al-Moktar graduated from Baghdad Medical School in 1989, achieved his fellowship in internal medicine in 1999, Baghdad University (FICMS). In Australia, Dr Al-Moktar has completed training in Internal Medicine and then advanced training in Nephrology (Victoria and New South Wales). In 2014, Dr Al-Moktar was granted FRACP.
His research has involved studying patients with acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease in hospitals.
He is available for consultations in HeartWest in Hoppers Crossing and St Albans as well as in Sunbury rooms.
