Mr. Negri has been a practicing surgeon in the area of Cardiothoracic surgery for over 16yrs. His training was undertaken at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne following which he undertook an advanced fellowship in Heart and Lung transplantation at the world renowned Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, England.

Since returning to Australia he has worked as a consultant surgeon at the Alfred Hospital and at The Cabrini Private Hospital, performing over 3000 Heart operations incorporating the full range of general adult and aspects of Paediatric Congenital Cardiac surgery as well as heart and lung transplantation, incorporating mechanical heart solutions for end-stage heart disease.
